Black Sea: Producers report that the sales price of small orders is close to $115/tonne FOB Black Sea, and Turkish buyers are in stable demand at this price-level.
Baltic: SBU has sold about 5,000 tons of caprolactam-grade ammonium sulfate, which was shipped from Kotka in July at a price of $115/tonne FOB. 3,000 tons of ammonium sulphate was sold from the Black Sea at the same price.
Europe: It is reported that demand in Spain is strong in the summer, and 4-5,000 tons of goods are sold at a net price of $125-130/ton fob Antwerp.
Turkey: There is a single 2.5-2.7 million tons of ammonium sulfate from Tianjin, China to Turkey, which will be shipped from July 1-10.
China: China’s ammonium sulfate price in July was around US$110/tonne FOB. A large manufacturer sold 10,000 tons of ammonium sulphate at the price of $113/ton fob in early July. The price of the port in northern China is $115/ton FOB. Jiangsu Haili 300,000 tons / year device is still parking, the restart time is not fixed. The supply of granular ammonium sulphate is tight in July/July. The price is shown at $150/ton fob, and the freight to Brazil’s 3.5-400 tons is $25-30/ton. From June 25th to 30th, a trader was shipping 40,000 tons of ammonium sulfate from Longkou to Paranagua, Brazil.
Philippines: Importers are still actively looking for goods. La Filipina is believed to have purchased 6,000 tons of ammonium sulphate for $135/ton cfr Ilo Ilo but has not been confirmed. Atlas will soon buy 8,000 tons of ammonium sulphate for Sanchi.
Malaysia: A buyer intends to purchase 12,000 tons of ammonium sulphate and unload it at Kuantan and Port Klang.
Thailand: The price of Chinese ammonium sulphate to Bangkok is around US$130/ton cfr.
Brazil: European caprolactam grade ammonium sulfate price is stable at 140-150 US dollars / ton cfr, granular ammonium sulfate price is 190-195 US dollars / ton cfr. China’s granular ammonium sulfate price is at $180/ton cfr. Lanxess will ship two batches of 30,000 tons of ammonium sulphate to Brazil in June/July, and traders will also send another 100,000 tons of ammonium sulphate during the same period. Traders are still studying the reasons for the decline in demand in the first five months of this year. Imports reached 820,000 tons in the first five months, down 23% year-on-year. Despite the decline in production, buyers are turning more to China to find goods, and the five-month delivery has increased to more than 530,000 tons, a year-on-year increase of 25%. China seems to be replacing the tonnage of Belgium, the Netherlands and the United States. Compared to 2017, these countries have much less cargo shipped to Brazil. Belgium is still the second largest exporter, but delivery in the first five months was only 134,000 tons, down 36% year-on-year. Dutch shipments fell 45% to 47,000 tons, while the US had the largest decline, with shipments falling 81% to 45,000 tons in the past five months.
