Rusland: Kuibyshev Azot heeft haar tweede installatie gelanceerd in februari, waardoor het totale vermogen van ammoniumsulfaat tot 230,000 ton / jaar. The first set of capacity is 90,000 tons / jaar, and the second set is 140,000 tons / jaar. Kuaz plans to produce 20,000 tons of granular ammonium sulphate in March to meet the needs of domestic buyers. International traders are looking for standard ammonium sulphate transported from the Black Sea and the Baltic Sea, but Kuaz is currently not exported. In maart, Rusland, Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan will begin to fulfill their commitments in February this year and will discuss how to deliver them to Phosagro-Cherepovets.
Turkije: The price of Chinese caprolactam-grade ammonium sulfate is still below $140/ton cfr. Gemlik purchased 3000-5000 tons of caprolactam-grade ammonium sulfate from SBU/Kemerovo for $145/ton fob Tuapse, a 180-day credit period, and shipment in March. Metinvest sells 3000-4000 tons of steel grade ammonium sulphate at a price of $145/ton cfr (onbetaalde rechten).
Centraal Amerika: Incofe will bid in early March to purchase 25,000 tons of mixed cargo, van welke 10,000 ton granulair ammoniumsulfaat, 8-9000 ton standaard ammoniumsulfaat, plus special products, will be delivered to the West Coast in mid-April port.
Mexico: Standard caprolactam-grade ammonium sulfate is priced at $160-162/ton cfr on the East Coast, mainly for Korean sources, but there are also some European sources. Sea freight from Ulsan to the east coast of Mexico is below $30/ton.
Brazilië: The market remains sluggish, but suppliers expect demand to increase slightly in March, as imports fell nearly 50% in January from a year earlier. The price of European ammonium sulphate is under negotiation in March, and the supplier’s goal is to raise the cfr level by $5/ton to around $190/ton.
