Black Sea/Baltic Sea: SBU Azot maintains a price of $150/ton fob Black Sea, and strives to ship a total of 3000-5000 tons of ammonium sulfate at the end of February at a price of $145/ton fob or lower.

Northwestern Europe: Standard grade ammonium sulphate is quoted at 120 – 125 euros / ton fob northwest. There is no report on the purchase of ammonium sulphate in China near spring. The last batch of 3mm granular ammonium sulphate is 197-198 euros/ton fob.

Turkey: There have been many inquiries for ammonium sulphate on the market this week. However, it is not clear how much is actually booked. According to market sources, the demand for ammonium sulphate will be about 100,000 tons by the end of February, but it is still to be seen whether Turkey will purchase this amount in view of the difficult economic environment faced by farmers. Toros purchased 8,000 tons of pellets, 16,000 Korean grades, and another 12,000 tons of lower grade ammonium sulfate from Chinese traders. The standard price is reported to be $150/tonne (excluding tariffs), the lower grades of Korean ammonium sulfate are $140/ton high and the pellet grade is $185/ton.

China: As demand in Southeast Asia and Brazil slows significantly in the coming months, ammonium sulphate prices continue to fall in markets other than China. The price of Korean grade ammonium sulfate is US$114-115/ton, and the next batch of goods is quoted at US$112/ton. If demand continues to be low, FOB prices may fall to around $110 or even lower. In the Asian region on February 4-10 before the Spring Festival holiday, it is difficult to resume trading. It is expected that in the second week of February, the pellet manufacturers will consider the purchase of the domestic and new steel and Korean grade ammonium sulfate. The domestic grade of ammonium sulfate is quoted at 550-580 yuan / ton (81-85 US dollars / ton).

Malaysia: MMA grade ammonium sulphate prices have fallen below $120/ton cfr.

Sri Lanka: The Sri Lankan Ministry of Agriculture tendered on January 22 to purchase 2,000 tons of ammonium sulphate, urea, heavy superphosphate and potassium chloride, which will be shipped to Colombo in April.

Vietnam: In December 2018, Vietnam imported 128,363 tons of ammonium sulphate, an increase of 11% in 2018 compared with 115,344 tons in the same period in 2017. Imports fell from 1.12 million tons to 1.05 million tons in 2018, a decrease of 6% from 2017.

Brazil: With the end of the purchase of safrinha, there is little interest in new goods before March/April, and the prices of unsold goods and port goods are falling. The unsold Chinese extruded granular grade ammonium sulfate price is $180/ton cfr, and its higher grade particle grade price is $190/ton cfr and above. European granular pellets are priced at $200-205/ton cfr. The Hinase left northwestern Europe last week and shipped 30,000 to 35,000 tons of ammonium sulphate to the Brazilian market.
